Alexi Korzha
♂ | 28 | Aries

Bio
The son of a whore, Korzha spent his childhood in the brothel he was born in-- the Lark's Nest-- at peace with the knowledge that he would someday take up the profession himself.

When his path crossed with the leader of the Black Iris, the man who had sired him, Korzha realized life had other plans.

He signed on as a grunt, learning about how the Black Iris operated-- how they enforced their territory, how they ran their books, how they paid their members-- all, of course, while keeping his head down. At last when he felt secure enough in his skill, Korzha stole into his father's study and shot him point-blank with a crossbow. He never said a word or revealed his identity. The bastard never deserved to know him anyway.

The Black Iris fractured in the aftermath. Korzha took leadership over one, gathering the friends he had made along the way, and they set about making a name for themselves. That name soon made its way to the throne room.

Korzha now serves at the King's war table as an advisor in scouting tactics and espionage both domestic and foreign.

About
Korzha is snarky and quick-witted, with a sense of humor that skews regularly toward lewdness. Years of work as a whore and a member of the Black Iris have made him excellent at reading people, though he prefers observing rather than actually interacting with them in any way besides horizontal.

He was seventeen when he realized he was a man, and altered his appearance to match that realization with help from a mysterious church a few cities over.

While he tries to maintain the appearance of aloofness, his emotions often explode at the worst of times. His upbringing has also molded him into a hypersexual person, and he uses sex as a way to regulate his emotions.

He is incredibly flexible and quick on his feet. The scar across his face is a product of a time when he wasn't quick enough.

Guy Valerian
♂ | 26 | Virgo

Bio
Guy Valerian was born in a town so small that it wasn't even on a map. Even so, life was good-- he spent his early days frolicking in fields while he was meant to be helping on the farm, picking flowers instead of corn and going on adventures in the nearby thicket until the setting sun forced him back home.

When he was 8 years old, his life was changed forever. His mother gave birth to another child-- his sister, Aria, and to Guy she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. But Aria was very small and weak, and was often sick. On the cusp of her tenth spring, Aria fell ill will a terrible sickness. None of them had ever seen such an affliction before, and though the doctor did his best she withered away before their very eyes.

Her death left Guy a husk of a boy. All the joy and beauty in the world had turned to empty gray. He was angry and distraught, and cursed the gods. Finally, his desperate mind was taken with an idea: he could exchange Aria's life for his own.

Naturally, he failed. He was not a mage, and even if he had the ability he had no idea of the correct rites. But the aftermath and his parents horror shook him out of his grief. He resolved to dedicate himself to helping others see beauty, like Aria had helped him. Guy bid his parents good bye and set out into the world.

A nearby church of the Goddess of love took him in happily, and Guy took to their teachings like a natural. Armed with a shield, a song, and sunny optimism, he does his best to aid all who cross his path.

About
Guy is a well meaning, if simple-minded man. What he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in kindness, and he is notoriously trusting of others' goodwill.

Despite being attractive in a multitude of ways, Guy's opinion of himself is rather low. It is hard for him to see himself as anything but a grubby farm boy lobbing a sword around, no matter how many woodland creatures he has eating out of his hand.

He is aware his size can be imposing, and sees his physicality as a way to better protect and support others.

Guy loves to sing, and has taught himself bird calls so he can court their company on the roads. He has a secret dream of encountering a unicorn. He knows this is a cliche.

Gaius Teh'rhani
♂ | 287 | Cancer

Bio
Gaius' early life was one of hardship. Raised by only his mother, he and his brother Crixus worked from childhood to support their little family. As they grew, the skills that came naturally to them grew more divergent-- Gaius, the older brother, was strong and adept with weapons, and became an intimidating physical force. But what Crixus lacked in stature he made up for with shrewd, calculating cleverness. As a team they were unparalleled, and quickly took to mercenary work as easily as breathing.

When their mother passed, the two ventured into the world and started up a guild of their own, abilities only matched by their ambition. Little did Gaius know that Crixus' ambition would spell his own doom.

Late one night, drunk after celebrating a sucessful job, Gaius was lured outside of their tavern by the men he had come to know as friends. They sprang quickly, catching him unaware, and as he was struggling his brother stepped from the shadows. There was a ritual, Crixus told him, that could make a man stronger even than death. But a life was needed in return.

Heedless to his protests Crixus' men held him down, strangling him to death with his own garrotte.

When he awoke, it was in the arms of a beautiful woman. She told him her name, Malaise, and that he belonged to her now, turned into a vampire thrall. Crixus had vanished, seemingly from the very earth itself.

Centuries passed, wars lost and won, countries risen and cast back down into squalor. Gaius travels alone now, divorced from his maker and a relic from a fading age. A killer of his own kind.

About
Gaius is an abrasive and cynical man, determined to spend his eternity killing as many beasts as he is able. He is ruthless in battle, vampiric blood lending him incredible speed and strength, but even his virility and heart-stopping good looks can't make up for his abysmal people skills.

With the amount of suffering and cruelty he's seen in his long life, Gaius is always caught off guard by honest, genuine human decency.
